Here are the directions to the box. Whether if you are on Beach Road or Chalan Pale Arnold Road (a.k.a. Middle Road), take FLORES ROSA ST. Follow it until you reach the “X” or just look for all the cars. Get down, ask for “The Master Chief”, and be ready to have a great time!

Whats up everyone! So so so so sooooo sorry for neglecting the site. Starting from now on, this site will serve as a way to provide information on the status of “GetFitCNMI”, fitness events, and our newly born gym, called “TheBox”. I will be posting the WOD’s (Workout of the day) the day before class so that we all will be mentally and physically prepared to rock it!

We’ve had several new-comers join our on-ramp course. I will post pictures as soon as I get them up. We worked some technique and had them do a quick wod to get their body moving. Everyone did great and I hope to see them continue to come in, do work, and leave with a step closer to achieving whatever goal they may be pursuing. It’s always great to see people work hard for the things they want most.

The boys and I had a great time at the Turkey Trot 2011! I’ll be putting together a video on the entire run as well as the ice bath session that followed later that day. It was great to see so many people come out and put their level of fitness to the test. There was this kid named Allan who ended up spanking a majority of the people who participated. This kid is ONLY 9!! Stay tuned for the video…
The video below was a recap on this past week’s workouts. We were able to squeeze in a couple morning sessions working on our olympic weightlift. We also did Tabata one day (20 sec blasts followed with 10 second rest/4 minutes per station) doing pushups, hollow rocks, air squats, and situps. And the last footage was of Joey Tudela doing an 8 minute AMRAP (as many rounds as possible) with 5 power cleans (135lbs) and 20 double unders. Check out the video 🙂
Tomorrow will be the annual Turkey Trot! Described as a brutal run from Lower Base, Saipan (Northern Mariana Islands) up to Mt. Tapochau (highest point on Saipan). I’ve never done it before, but I would say its at least 6-7 miles… with majority of the way UPHILL. Wish us luck & hope so see you all there! Lets go CNMI, time to GETFIT!!

Today was the first day of working towards “GetFitCNMI”. I had my cousins, Jason and Jose, at the box. I showed them some movements and ran them through a pretty challenging workout. It consisted of pushups, situps, and air squats. It was their first day to be introduced to a much more functional work-out program. It was great watching them push through and never resorting to giving up. Although they may be soar tomorrow, they are one step closer to being FIT.
They boys and I did FightGoneBad. With the new equipment, we were able to do a legit rotation of FightGoneBad (something we haven’t been able to do). It was a great workout, esp after being out of it for one week (due to my work trip to North Carolina). Tomorrow will be Tuesday. That means: two more days to work out before a glorious feast at Thanksgiving.

I managed to do a ton of pushups while I was there. Couldn’t really do any high-intense workouts due to limited transportation, but I’m definitely ready to hit it hard this week. Its Thanksgiving week so definitely going to be eating light, and working out pretty hard so that the food coma that I predict to be in will feel ever so sweet 🙂
